When you need to tell everybody dinner is ready, or communicate with people in the backyard or the garage from your basement or your bedroom, that's one of the times you know an intercom system could make your life easier. But if you have one of these with in-wall speaker stations picking noise from everywhere, working unreliably, prone to feedback noise and static, allowing no private conversation, you wish you could use your phones to talk to other people around the home. You wish you had a telephone intercom system. Well, look no further. You will have crystal clear two-way communications from any home handset to any other with this telephone intercom system.

No. The FM power line intercoms work on low frequencies and the signal is blocked by power transformers. Radio scanners don't operate in that range.

I don't think you scan this intercom - at least not very easily. I don't know about this particular manufacturer and model, but the ones that I've seen operate at very low frequencies (less than 100kHz) that are way below the range of most scanners.

If someone was really determined to listen in, there are receivers available that would allow them to do so, but they'd have to be pretty determined, knowledgeable and well financed.

As long as there on the same phone line, you should just be able to pick up the receiver and talk to the other phone without dialing.
